Series of 10 views taken from Album storico artistico 1859. Guerra d'Italia scritta dal corrispondente del Times al campo franco sardo con disegni dal vero di C. Bossoli..., published in Turin and Paris by Carlo Perrin (1860-64).

Exceptional war reportage for images, thanks to the illustrations made in the field by Carlo Bossoli, this important collection of color prints had been published the previous year in London with the title The war in Italy.

The success of the first volume prompted the publisher to print a second part, dedicated to the exploits of Garibaldi in the two Sicilies and the Piedmontese Army of Victor Emmanuel in Romagne and Naples. The rich illustrative apparatus includes 110 color lithographs.

Lithographs printed in colour and finely original hand-coloured, in excellent condition.
