Description
Popular costume scene from Costumi di Roma e dei contorni. Inc. da V. Mochetti Rome, 1846, a small album -in-12°, with the frontispiece illustrated with a saltarello scene and 30 pretty, finely hand-colored costumes, joined together.
The plates are engraved by V. Mochetti and depict: pifferari, wood splitter, ciociara, buttero, lavandara, giuncataro, reaper, broom and garlic seller, salad seller, pilgrim, carter, woman
of Ariccia, Tivoli, Cori, Filettino, Genzano, Velletri, Sonnino, Sezze, Frosinone, Sora, Nettuno, Albano and other towns in Latium.
Copperplate engraving, finely original hand-colored, in excellent condition.
