Antiquarius is a gallery specializing in the sale of Old Master Prints and rare Antique Maps from all parts of the World, from 15th to 19th centuries. Established in 1992 and located in the heart of Rome, our gallery is situated in Corso Rinascimento 63, in the historic Rione Parione, a district where the most famous printers and publishers of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries were active: Antonio Salamanca, Antonio Lafreri, and the De Rossi family, who were based between the church of S. Maria della Pace and Piazza Navona. The gallery was founded by Stefano Bifolco, considered one of the greatest experts in the field, who is also co-author of the most important text on Italian cartography of XVI (sixteenth) century. Stefano Bifolco manages Antiquarius and counts on the professional collaboration of Alessandra Signoretti, Martina Morganti and Luca Ruocco. We have printed fifty sales catalogues of antique and rare maps and old master prints. The vastness of our collection, as well as the accurate description of each work, have made Antiquarius an unquestionable reference point for collectors and enthusiasts alike, both at national and international levels. |
