Beautiful and decorative map of Rome in the immediate postwar period, intended for pilgrims for the 1950 Jubilee.

The Jubilee of Pius XII, Pope Eugenio Pacelli, who convened the Holy Year after the misery of World War II. He called people from all nations to Rome, even those who had been at war with each other.

The IGAP (Impresa Generale Affissioni Pubblicità) was one of the leading advertising agencies in Rome in the 1920s-40s. Directed by Luigi Marinati, it employed the best illustrators of the time, such as Marcello Dudovich and Abelardo Zucchi, who were active in the plant located in the middle of the city, at Via D'Ara Coeli 13, on the slopes of the Campidoglio.

Color lithograph, several times folded, minimal oxidation, otherwise in excellent condition. Rare.
