Pluchart became famous for his large-format albums engraved in copper or lithographic with views of the city prepared by the best Russian artists, including A. Martynov, A. Orlowsky, K. Kolman, P. Alexandrov, K. Beggrov, K. and A. Brullov.
A series of albums of lithographic views of St. Petersburg were published by Pluchart from 1820 to 1827, with a gradual increase in the number of sheets.
