Description
This is the first perspective plan created for the city of Pistoia, commissioned to Francesco Leoncini by Cardinal Rospigliosi and inserted into three volumes by Abbot Salvi.
On the left and on the right are inserted two panels containing some informations, and the coats of arms of the city of Pistoia and Florence.
The title of the map is at the top center, supported by a bear.
The representation of the city of Pistoia, which occupies the central part of the map, is rendered through a perspective view that gives us its fortified structure with the hydrography and the adjacent access roads.
