In addition to views of monumental Rome, the collection contains views of Grottaferrata, Albano, Ponte Lucano, and Tivoli. At the end are placed 7 engravings depicting scenes and ruins of the war against French troops in 1849, engraved by painter Antonio Bertaccini.

Pietro Datri or Pierre d'Atri was a flourishing publisher active in Rome between 1840 and 1867; he devoted himself mainly to the production of albums of views intended for Grand Tour collecting.
