Henri Guérard (1846-1897) was a printmaker, etcher, painter, draughtsman, illustrator, art critic, poet, collector and expert technician. Married Eva Gonzalès (1849-1883), pupil of Manet, in 1879; then her sister Jeanne in 1888. Vice president of the Société des peintres-graveurs français. Contributed to the 'Gazette des Beaux-Arts'.
