Description
Ecce homo; after Dürer (Meder 10); Christ and Pilate standing on steps outside a building at left; a crowd gathered in a street at right with the crosses; from a series of fifteen etchings after Dürer's Small Passion.
Etching on iron, from the Passion of Christ. Signed with monogram on a tablet at lower right.
Examples in the very rare first state of two, before the Funk edition, with the number of the plate.
A great impression, particularly rich in shades, printed on contemporary laid paper, trimmed to the platemark, in excellent condition.
