Example in the first state of three, edited by Peter de Jode. Based on The Metamorphoses of Ovid, after drawings by Gerard van Groningen.
Beautiful proof, printed on contemporary laid paper, trimmed to the copperplate or with thin margins, applied on old collection paper, in excellent condition.

Baptiste van DOETECUM (attivo a Deventer ed Amsterdam tra il 1554 ed il 1580)
Son of Johan, with whom he worked. Doetecum was a family of engravers and map publishers working in Deventer and Haarlem (from 1587). He worked for Pieter Plancius, Orbis Terrarum Typus, 1590. Worked with his father on engravings for Jan von Lischoten, 1595; Bible maps, 1609; Hannonia, published later by Joannes Janssonius 1633.
