Engraving, 1680, signed on lower right plate. After a subject of Jacob Matham.
Example in the first state of two. Magnificent work printed on contemporary laid paper with wide margins, vertical paper fold, otherwise in excellent condition.
The subject depicts a renowned event which took place in 1598 and was described for the first time by Matham.
