Emanuel Eichel (Augsburg 1717-1782) was a German engraver. Eichel was born as the son of silversmith Emanuel Eichel the Elder (1690-1752) and became a pupil of engraver Johann Daniel Herz (1693-1752). In 1770 he was appointed drawing master at the Protestant college near St. Anne's. In 1750 he married the daughter of silversmith Johann Josef Herz; he supplied engravings to several Augsburg publishers.

A fine impression, on contemporary lad paper, trimmed to the platemark, in good condition. Rare.
